Send me a favorite photo of your pet, and I’ll turn it into an original hand-carved portrait, then use it to print a set of 20 one-of-a-kind Christmas cards just for you.

Every portrait is designed, carved and printed by hand in my Skippack studio. No filters, no digital pet portraits — just good old-fashioned carving, ink and paper.

Your pet portrait is framed by a hand-printed botanical holiday wreath. A more classic Christmas look with plenty of handmade character.

Take home the actual hand-carved block used to print your Christmas cards, mounted and ready for you to stamp yourself.

If you choose not to purchase your original block, I’ll keep it on file at Wondering Time — which means next year your pet is already carved and ready for a whole new holiday design!

How It Works

1. Place your order.
Choose Cozy Lights or Holiday Wreath and decide whether you'd like to add your original mounted stamp.

2. Send me your favorite pet photo.
After ordering, you'll receive instructions for sending your photo.

3. I carve your pet.
I translate your photograph into an original design and carve the portrait by hand.

4. I print your cards.
Your pet portrait and holiday design are individually printed by hand onto 20 cards.

Choosing Your Photo + About Your Portrait

Choose a photo you love. Clear, well-lit photos that show your pet's face, markings and distinctive features work best. Photos with a little personality are even better!

If I don't think your chosen photograph will translate well into a carved portrait, I'll contact you and ask for another.

Your finished portrait will be my hand-carved interpretation of the photograph you provide. Block printing naturally simplifies some details — that's part of what gives each portrait its distinctive handmade character.

Because your portrait is carved by hand, digital proofs and portrait revisions are not included. Please choose a photograph that really captures the look and personality of your pet.

One Pet Per Portrait

Each $195 package includes a custom portrait of one pet.

A Note About Hand Printing

These really are printed by hand, one at a time. Small variations in ink coverage, texture and registration are normal — and part of what makes every set unique.

Holiday Order Deadline: October 20

Custom pet portraits take time to design, carve and print, so I’m accepting a limited number of holiday commissions this year.

Orders must be placed by October 20. If all available commission spots are filled before then, ordering will close early.
